Sheffield Wednesday have been rocked by the news striker Adam Proudlock has broken his leg in training. The 23-year-old, who scored twice at the weekend, has been ruled out for eight to 10 weeks after breaking his fibula in a training ground accident.
"Everyone is gutted for the lad. Things were going well for us, but this is a massive blow," Owls' manager Paul Sturrock told the club's website.
Proudlock may also have damaged ankle ligaments and faces an anxious wait.
