Sheffield Wednesday have agreed to sell their Middlewood Road training ground for �10m to ease their debts. House-builders Bloor Homes are buying the site in an agreement subject to planning permission being granted for their proposed development.
Owls chairman Dave Allen said: "This reduces our debts to around �15m, which means we can break even with a wage bill of �2m and gates of 20,000-plus."
The club have identified two potential sites for a new training ground.
