Blades want Kelly
David Kelly is set to sign in at Bramall Lane
David Kelly poised for move to Bramall Lane
Sheffield United have offered a one-year contract to former Tranmere Rovers striker David Kelly.

The 34-year-old has been training with Neil Warnock's side over the past couple of days and the Blades boss is keen to complete the move.

Much travelled

Kelly played a key role in Tranmere's revival last season, scoring in the Worthington Cup Final defeat against Leicester City.

He has also played for Walsall, West Ham, Leicester City, Newcastle United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sunderland.

United are also having a look at former Aberdeen, Rangers and Bradford defender Stephen Wright, as well as the much-travelled Kelly.
