Blades full-back Naughton played in midfield against Charlton.

Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell says his decision to play Kyle Naughton in midfield against Charlton was useful in developing the youngster.

The 20-year-old right-back impressed Blackwell in his new role in Saturday's FA Cup win.

Blackwell told BBC Radio Sheffield:"I see him being able to do the job if I need him to go in there.

"That's what the process is about, understanding his role as a right-back and when to play in midfield."
