Seck, 27, signed a two-and-a-half year deal after a free move from Le Havre.
Shelton, 21, cost around 2m from Swedish club Helsingborg, subject to receiving international clearance.
Shelton is an international team-mate of Blades defender Claude Davis and has scored one goal in four appearances for Jamaica.
