Warnock had pursued Horsfield before signing Ade Akinbiyi |
Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock is refusing to rule out a move for West Brom striker Geoff Horsfield. The Blades boss has revealed that he did try to sign the 32-year-old before recruiting Ade Akinbiyi from Burnley.
Baggies boss Bryan Robson had claimed that Horsfield was set to join the Blades on loan.
"Bryan can say what he wants, he's not in charge of my club is he? But I would never rule anything out," Warnock told BBC Radio Sheffield.
"We tried to sign him a while ago but he wasn't available, and that's why we went after Ade, who gives us something different to Geoff."
