McCann has won 26 caps for Northern Ireland, scoring four goals
Scunthorpe midfielder Grant McCann has said he is yet to be offered a new deal at Glanford Park.
The Northern Ireland international, 29, is United's join-top scorer this season with six goals.
"My contract runs out at the end of the season so we will have to see what happens over the next few months," McCann told BBC Sport.
"Scunthorpe haven't spoken to me about the situation yet so I just need to keep my head down and working hard."
He added: "I really enjoy playing at Scunthorpe though, we have a great set of lads, a good team spirit and a good manager."
McCann has found the back of the net six times in his last eight games for the Iron and admits that his good form could lead to interest from other clubs.

"I think if you are scoring goals from midfield then you are always going to get noticed, perhaps even more so when it is with a smaller club in the Championship.
"Scoring and creating goals has always been a major part of my game and I love to get forward as much as possible.
"But, after speaking to [Northern Ireland manager] Nigel Worthington I realised that I also had to improve the defensive part of my game and I think I've done that."
McCann's form has helped the Iron to 14th in the Championship after last year's promotion from League One.
And, the former West Ham, Barnsley and Cheltenham man said United expect to do more than just survive on their return to the second tier of English football.
"We were quietly confident at the start of the season because we have a stronger squad than the last time we were in this division," he said.
"We have some quality individuals in the squad and the lads all want to work hard for each other."
