The 22-year-old midfielder had been playing in the United States for West Virginia University, where he scored 18 goals in 83 matches.

He impressed in a trial with The Iron, during which he featured in a reserve match against Sheffield United.

Wright has signed a contract until the end of the season with the club having the option to extend the deal for a further year if he does well.
