Midfielder Matt Sparrow has committed his future to Scunthorpe by signing a new deal at Glanford Park. The new deal runs to 2010 and replaces the two-year contract, with an option of an additional 12 months, Sparrow signed last summer.
One-club man Sparrow, 25, is the Iron's longest-serving player, with over 250 appearances for the club.
Sparrow's new contract is a reward for his contribution to Scunthorpe's promotion campaign last term.
