Scunthorpe midfielder Jim Goodwin has signed a new two-year contract which will keep him at the club until 2009. The Republic of Ireland international joined the Iron in July 2005 but suffered an injury in pre-season which sidelined him out until December.
Goodwin, 26, then had a head injury that ruined the first half of the season but he then earned a regular spot in the side that gained promotion.
The former Celtic player has made 51 appearances for Scunthorpe so far.
