Long-serving duo Tom Evans and Nathan Stanton head a list of seven players who will leave Scunthorpe this summer. Evans has been at Glanford Park for nine years while Stanton was the club's youngest ever debutant in 1998.
"It's been heartbreaking for us, especially considering some are players who I have worked with for such a long time," said United boss Brian Laws.
Paul Musselwhite, Wayne Corden, Tommy Johnson, Andy Parton and Ritchie Ryan will also not receive new contracts.
