Scunthorpe have signed Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Joe Murphy on a free transfer from Sunderland. Murphy did not play in the Premiership this season but did spend three months on loan at Walsall.
Murphy, who previously played for Tranmere and West Brom, told The Iron's website: "I want to get back playing and I think I can do that here."
Boss Brian Laws said: "I'm so pleased we've got the right man. He's at the right age, 24, and he's hungry."
