Redfearn is new Scarborough boss
Neil Redfearn
Redfearn's job is to lift Scarborough off the bottom of the Conference
Scarborough have appointed Neil Redfearn as their new manager.

Redfearn, 40, has been given a 12-month rolling contract with the Conference club following Nick Henry's sacking.

Ex-Barnsley boss Eric Winstanley will be assistant at the McCain Stadium as the pair bid to lift Boro off the bottom of the table.

Chairman Malcolm Reynolds said: "We're convinced Neil is the right man for the job. Hopefully he can get us away from the bottom of the table by Christmas."

Redfearn, who took charge of Boro for the 2-2 draw against Aldershot last Saturday, could be handed funds by Reynolds to strengthen the squad.

"We think this will be a good combination with a hungry young manager and experienced assistant coach," added Reynolds.
