Clare has been a prolific scorer at a number of different clubs
Rushden and Diamonds striker Daryl Clare has set himself a target of scoring more than 20 goals next season.
Clare joined Rushden from Blue Square Premier rivals Burton Albion.
The Jersey-born 29-year-old was Burton's leading goalscorer last season and scored 48 goals in 99 games.
He told BBC Radio Northampton: "There's got to be a minimum target of 20 plus.
"I always try to set a bit of a higher target than that to stay hungry."
It's a massive, massive club waiting for things to happen

He added: "I love scoring goals and I've got a good feeling about this and I think it's going to be a good year..
Clare also revealed why he turned down a new contract at Burton to sign for the Diamonds.
"Well obviously the club sells itself with its reputation and its facilities and it's a massive, massive club waiting for things to happen hopefully," he said.
"When a club states their ambition to win or to do well it's a big factor. It's easier said than done because this is an extremely tough league now.
" I think we've got 10 former league clubs playing in it now and some big hitters in Mansfield and Wrexham coming down.
"But if you've got a good manager and you sign good players and you've already got a nucleus of some good quality then you've got a chance.
