Several different parties have expressed an interest taking over League Two side Rotherham United.

But some of the eight candidates have already been discounted for failing to meet the criteria set down by the administrator Jeremy Bleazard.

No formal offers have been made but discussions are at an early stage with the remaining candidates.

Last month the McMullen Group said they were holding takeover talks and that they were keen to build a new ground.
