Rotherham are set to sign former Carlisle United striker Derek Holmes. Holmes, who was released by the Cumbrians at the end of last season, will complete a move to Millmoor once he has passed a medical.
The 28-year-old Scot spent just over two seasons with Carlisle and scored 17 goals for them following earlier spells with Bournemouth and Ross County.
He will become Rotherham's ninth new summer signing as manager Mark Robins looks to rebuild following relegation.
