Campbell-Ryce's transfer could be the subject of an investigation |
Rotherham have asked the Football League to investigate the transfer of winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce to Southend. The clubs agreed a deal in September which saw him leave Millmoor on loan until the start of the transfer window.
Then they agreed a fee of 117,000 to be paid for Campbell-Ryce's permanent move on 1 January.
Rotherham chairman Peter Ruchniewicz said: "We are not happy about the whole situation and have asked the Football League to investigate the matter."
Ruchniewicz added: "We are clear on the terms of the deal which allowed Jamal to join Southend when he did.
"We are very disappointed that Southend now appear unwilling to honour that deal and have asked the Football League to carry out a full investigation into the transfer."
