Moore has been searching for a keeper |
Rotherham have signed goalkeeper Gary Montgomery following his release by First Division rivals Coventry City. Millers boss Ronnie Moore was searching for a new keeper following the release of Ian Gray.
And Montgomery, 20, will now provide the competition for first-choice Mike Pollitt after agreeing a two-year deal at Millmoor.
"I've trained with the goalkeeping coach here and it looks like a good set-up.
"I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Coventry but I was not a part of the plans anymore and I'm delighted to have sorted a move to Rotherham.
"I'm looking forward to getting involved here and hope to get as much first team football as possible," Montgomery told the Sky Blues' website.
Montgomery, who came through the youth-team ranks at Highfield Road, played eight First Division games for City last season.
