Former Aberdeen goalkeeper Derek Soutar has signed for First Division side Ross County until the end of the season.

Coach Derek Adams has Tony Bullock and Joe Malin competing for the keeper's position, but Soutar adds experience.

He started his career at Dundee, then went on loan to Brechin and Alloa before joining Aberdeen in July 2006.

With Jamie Langfield in command between the sticks at Pittodrie, Soutar had been eyeing a switch to England, but has opted for a move closer to home.
