Griffin sustained an injury in training after joining County |
Ross County manager Derek Adams has snapped up three more players in the January transfer window. Following the capture of Adam Strachan from Partick Thistle, Adams has signed the midfielder's former Firhill team-mate, Scott Boyd.
Martin Gardyne arrives from Morton to provide further competition in midfield at the high-flying Division Two club.
And out-of-contract defender Danny Griffin joins County after agreeing to terminate his contract with Dundee.
Boyd impressed during a recent loan spell while Gardyne spent the entire of last season on loan from Celtic.
The 30-year-old Griffin moved to Dens Park from Aberdeen in June 2006 but has started just seven games this season.
Capped 29 times by Northern Ireland he began his career at St Johnstone before moving to Dundee United for a 600,000 fee in 2000, but injury blighted his Tannadice career.
Ironically, Griffin picked up an injury at his first County training session after putting pen to paper which will delay his debut.
Meanwhile, several players have left Victoria Park for pastures new.
Iain Anderson, Stephen Skinner, Jason Crooks and Craig Frizzell depart while Iain Campbell has returned to Kilmarnock at the end of his loan spell.
