Rochdale have confimed Steve Parkin's return to Spotland as manager. He replaces Alan Buckley who left the club on Tuesday.
Buckley left by mutual consent after disappointing since taking over at Spotland in May 2003.
Steve Parkin left Rochdale to become manager at Barnsley in November 2001, but was sacked in October 2002.
Rochdale are five points clear of the Third Division drop zone having lost eight of their last 10 league matches.
