Reading chairman John Madejski has backed plans by the Premier League to stage matches abroad. The proposal is to extend the season to 39 games, with the extra match being played in another county.
"I think it's common sense that teams should do one match abroad every year," Madejski told BBC Radio Berkshire.
"I don't have a problem with it at all. The fans are extremely lucky that they see a wonderful array of foreign talent playing here in England."
He added: "Quite frankly I think you have to appreciate the fact that the English Premiership is a global brand and it's a good thing to air that brand globally."

However, Reading goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann is not quite as convinced about the merits of the Premier League's proposals.
"In principle, it sounds like a great idea - bring more money into the clubs - but on the other side, people will say they are already making enough money," the American shot-stopper told BBC Sport.
"I think our team made 50m last year so how much more do they need? That's what the fans are going to say because they have season tickets and they want to see every game.
"If a game is in Bangkok they are not going to be able to see it."
The full interview with John Madejski will be on BBC Radio Berkshire at 1800 GMT on Friday 8 February.
