Reading captain Graeme Murty does not expect Steve Sidwell to return to the club on a loan deal from Chelsea. The 25-year-old joined Chelsea from the Royals in July 2007 but has struggled to establish himself in the first team.
He has been linked with a loan move to Portsmouth and Sunderland, but Murty told BBC Radio Berkshire he doubts he will return to the Madejski Stadium.
Murty said: "I'm not sure he'd want to come back to us. He'll want to stay at Chelsea and fight for his place."
