Reading have signed Sheffield Wednesday striker Lloyd Owusu on a one-month loan deal. The former Brentford striker will go straight into the Reading squad for the Boxing Day game against Wimbledon.
But Reading boss Steve Coppell says he is unlikely to start.
The Berkshire-born striker played under Coppell at Brentford, having started his career with Slough Town.
The loan signing is Coppell's second dip into the transfer market since he took over from Alan Pardew at Reading.
His first signing was another former Brentford player, defender Ivar Ingimarsson.
Owusu trained with his new team-mates on Tuesday after agreeing the loan deal on Monday.
