McCulloch was replaced at half time during Scotland's qualifier against Spain
By John Berry
Rangers are waiting to find out the extent of the damage Lee McCulloch sustained in Scotland's 3-2 defeat to world champions Spain.
The 32 year-old midfielder had to be taken off with a groin problem at half time, with Scotland trailing 1-0.
McCulloch will now be assessed by medical staff at Rangers' training ground Murray Park to find out how serious the problem is.
He is likely to miss the SPL clash with Motherwell on Saturday.
Rangers will be hoping to have McCulloch available for the Champions League tie with Valencia and the Old Firm derby next week.
The midfielder missed Rangers' dramatic 2-1 victory at Hearts with the same problem prior to the international break.
Manager Walter Smith already has injury concerns, with Nikica Jelavic out for three months, following ankle surgery and James Beattie struggling with a hip problem.
