Boyd was the top goalscorer in the Scottish Premier League
Rangers striker Kris Boyd would like to revive his international career and has no intention of leaving Ibrox.
The Scottish Premier League's top scorer does not want to be considered by current Scotland boss George Burley.
But he said: "Hopefully, one day I can," when asked if he would like to play for his country again.
He also told BBC Scotland: "There's no better feeling than lifting trophies or getting medals with Rangers. And I want to be part of that in the future."
Boyd, who turned down the chance to join Birmingham in January, announced that he would not play for Burley after he was an unused substitute in last October's 0-0 draw with Norway at Hampden.
The 25-year-old was not playing regularly for Rangers at the time, a fact highlighted by Burley when explaining his decision to overlook Boyd.
However, the former Kilmarnock forward has since enjoyed a great run of form and netted 27 league goals as the Ibrox side clinched the championship.
Talking prior to the Scottish Cup final meeting with Falkirk, Boyd explained: "They said I wasn't playing at the time and there were five or six strikers ahead of me (for Scotland). It wasn't my choice that I wasn't playing.
"I knew I had to go back to basics, go back to my club and start over again.
"I said at the time that I would like to go back (for Scotland) but there were other things I felt I had to do.
"I look back and I always thought goals were enough to get me a game. But I was missing out on the big matches.
"When I made the decision to quit international football I started working harder, working harder for the team and I've come on leaps and bounds since then.
"I've managed to find myself in the team most weeks and hopefully that can continue."
Rangers were under financial pressure to cash in on one of their main assets in January, which led to a storm of protests from frustrated fans.
However, Boyd was not interested in a move to Birmingham and his form in front of goal helped Rangers overhaul an eight-point deficit to beat Celtic by four points in the title race.
"You have to have a good team behind you," said the striker. "Just get yourself in the penalty box and the chances will come.
"Don't worry about the ones that get away, because there are always another one or two coming along."
