Rangers striker Nacho Novo says he is hopeful he will be available for Sunday's Co-operative Insurance Cup final against Old Firm rivals Celtic.
The Spaniard, 29, has returned to training having been out since the end of January with an ankle injury.
"I feel good and I am working really hard as I try to get fit for this game," Novo told the club website.
"I've been doing a lot with the physios and I'm hopeful of playing a part. I feel I can make a contribution."
Novo has started just eight games for the Ibrox club this season and missed both last season's domestic cup finals through suspension.
But the forward has hit the back of the net six times in Old Firm derbies during his Rangers career and scored twice as Falkirk were beaten in the last four.
The former Dundee and Raith Rovers forward picked up his injury in the home win over Dundee United four days after the semi-final success.
"You always worry about things if you are injured ahead of a big game and I am no different," he added.
"Every time I train, I am feeling better and that is the most important thing.
"In Old Firm games, you always find it within you to do a job. Whether you are fully fit or not, it is about your mentality and how much you want to play rather than anything else.
"It won't be a problem for me to play on Sunday. Adrenaline will help me if the manager chooses me."
