Rangers assistant manager Ally McCoist says comparisons being made between teenage forward John Fleck and Wayne Rooney are wide of the mark.
McCoist says Gers striker Fleck, 18, is more like two former Ibrox favourites.
"People will always make comparisons but Fleck and Rooney are completely different players," said McCoist.
"Flecky's got a lovely left foot - I wouldn't quite say it was Davie Cooper's - and he takes the ball in very well like a young Charlie Miller."
Fleck has received rave reviews following a number of impressive first-team displays during January.
He capped another fine showing against Dundee United by winning and scoring a penalty in his side's recent 2-0 victory at Ibrox.
And McCoist was impressed after the youngster's latest test on Wednesday night in the friendly draw against AC Milan.
"When you're on the same field as some of the best players in the world you're going to learn from it," said McCoist.

McCoist lauds young forward Fleck
"Flecky would not look out of place in that company. It's all very encouraging, but we just have to watch it and hope he keeps progressing."
However, Fleck was overlooked for both the Scotland under-21 squad training camp in Dunblane this month, and the under-19 squad trip to play France.
"I don't think it's any big deal really - it won't do him any harm, actually," said McCoist.
"We're all in agreement that Flecky will eventually break in to all sorts of international squads.
"So the fact that he's not in these ones is not a problem for me, and I 'm sure it won't be a problem for him."
