Smith said he was delighted with the win over Motherwell
Rangers manager Walter Smith said "a lack of spark" in front of goal made for a nervy night in the 1-0 win over Motherwell at Ibrox.
The victory moved Rangers four points behind leaders Celtic with two games in hand and Smith said he was pleased.
"We're going to have a fine finish to the league campaign with ourselves and Celtic vying for the title," he said.
"Barry Ferguson's had a fantastic finish for the goal and obviously we were delighted that we got it."
Smith said he was hopeful his players could handle the pressure of the club's remaining games as they attempt to add the SPL title, Scottish Cup and Uefa Cup to the CIS Cup.
"No other team in the league has been asked to play the number of games we are in such a short space of time," he said.
"Therefore, we'll have to see how our boys do. I'm not sure I've experienced it before and I'm not sure if I'd like to do so again."
