Darcheville was sent off for stamping |
Rangers are set to appeal the Uefa three-match European ban handed out to striker Jean-Claude Darcheville. The French striker was ordered off in the Champions League defeat by Lyon for stamping on Kim Kallstrom shortly after missing an open goal.
Darcheville is due to miss both legs of the Uefa Cup clash against Panathinaikos next month.
And he would also miss the first leg of the tie against Braga or Werder Bremen should Rangers reach the last 16.
Darcheville was sent off late in the 3-0 defeat at Ibrox in December that ended the Ibrox club's Champions League campaign.

Rangers manager Walter Smith said: "We are currently putting together a case in Jean-Claude's defence and will appeal," he told the Rangers website.
"We will see where that takes us."
After the game, Darcheville said: "I always take responsibility for myself, but the referee got it wrong.
"Maybe it was a yellow card. I was very surprised when I saw the red card."
Kallstrom had also played down the "little stamp", which caused him no damage.
"All footballers are there to play in front of these fantastic crowds and there is a lot of emotion and I hope he will not get a long suspension because it was just frustration," he said.
