Buffel has played only once for the Ibrox club this season |
Belgium midfielder Thomas Buffel appears likely to leave Rangers after the out-of-favour 26-year-old was linked with Anderlecht. "I've spoken twice with the manager and he told me I'd get my chance in the team," Buffell told the Daily Record.
"But, since then, I've been fit for three months, and not been given a call-up.
"I'll wait for three more weeks and, if I still haven't played by then, I will want to leave."
Buffel's agent has suggested that the midfielder would be interested in talking to Anderlecht.
But the player himself said: "It is too soon to talk about Anderlecht or the other clubs.

"And, when you look at our team against Lyon in the Champions League, with nine Scottish players on the pitch, that's a clear indication of the way things are going."
Dutch outfit AZ Alkmaar are also interested in securing the services of the 26-times capped attacking midfielder, who arrived from Feyenoord for 2.5m in January 2005.

A switch to Hannover collapsed for Buffel in January.
And now reports claim that Rangers are prepared to offload Buffel, midfielder Brahim Hemdani and striker Daniel Cousin during the coming transfer window following their Champions League exit.
Buffel's agent, Ken Anderson, told the Daily Express: "We know there is interest from Anderlecht and Thomas is willing to talk to them.
"We're unsure of his position with Rangers, but he's happy there and wants to fight his way back into the team."
