Hutton impressed Rangers boss Walter Smith last season |
Rangers defender Alan Hutton has signed a new five-year deal after showing he can hold down the right-back role on a permanent basis. The 22-year-old established himself in Walter Smith's team after he arrived at Ibrox midway through last season.
Hutton then made his Scotland debut in the friendly against Austria in May.
Hutton told Rangers official website: "I'm delighted to have signed this new contract and I'm just looking forward to the new season now.
"We've been in talks with the club for a wee while now so I'm glad it's done
and out of the way and I can now concentrate on the football side of things."
