Smith was happy with the way Rangers responded to being behind |
Rangers manager Walter Smith was happy with his side's fighting spirit as they came from behind three times to secure a point at Hibernian. He said: "It was a difficult match and was hardly your end of season game because there was a great level of commitment from both sides.
"The pleasing aspect is that we kept coming back - they scored, then we scored.
"I'm delighted with that and I've no complaints with the result."
In a thrilling six-goal encounter the Ibrox club showed great character after being confronted by a youthful Hibs side full of energy.
Steven Fletcher, Kevin McCann and Steven Whittaker had the hosts in the lead on three occasions but Rangers impressively hit back each time.
Charlie Adam notched a brace with two free-kicks that left goalkeeper Andy McNeil red-faced and Alan Hutton also got his name on the score sheet.
And Smith admitted seeing his side dig deep to come away with a point was pleasing.

Adam's brace has taken his tally to the season to 13 and Smith singled out the midfielder for praise after he played his part from free-kicks.
He said: "I knew what he was capable of. He has given us a terrific return for a midfield player over the whole campaign in his first full season."
Smith gave the assistant referee the benefit of the doubt after Kris Boyd was brought down as he raced into the box in a move that saw Hibs player Guillaume Beuzelin sent-off.
Rangers number two Ally McCoist was livid a free-kick on the edge of the box was awarded instead of a penalty.
Smith added: "It was a difficult position to see it from the dugout.
"You would have to go with the linesman's judgment on that one.
"He probably called it right as he was in a good position."
