Andy Webster has made a nightmare start to his loan spell with Rangers, picking up a medial ligament injury that will see him sidelined for six weeks. The Scotland defender joined the Glasgow outfit on Friday from Wigan Athletic until the end of the season.
But the 24-year-old was injured during a training session with his new club at the weekend.
Webster's agent Charles Duddy said: "Andy's scan showed he has moderately strained his ligaments."
And the agent added: "He will be out for six weeks. It could have been worse but it is still six weeks."
