Kris Boyd was launching Rangers' new strip |
Rangers striker Kris Boyd refutes suggestions that new manager Paul Le Guen has been less than impressive in his transfer dealings so far. Czech Republic midfielder Libor Sionko and Sweden defender Karl Svensson are his major captures.
And Boyd said: "I think big players have come in.
"We might not have heard of them in the sense of them being big-name players, but there's two of them going to the World Cup."
Youngsters Antoine Ponroy and William Stanger, both from Rennes, and teenage midfielder Dean Furman, from Chelsea, are Le Guen's other acquisitions so far.
"I think there probably will be more signings to come in and, who knows, they might be from teams playing in the World Cup," said Boyd as he launched Rangers' new strip.

"But the most important thing is that they make Rangers better.
"It doesn't matter where in the world they come from.
"If he builds a team that wins the league, nobody is going to complain."
Boyd, who arrived from Kilmarnock in January in a deal worth more than 400,000, scored 39 goals last season, including two on his Scotland debut against Bulgaria in the Kirin Cup.
But the striker knows he has to impress all over again when Le Guen arrives in Glasgow on 20 June.
"I'm feeling okay and hopefully I will be ready for when we come back," said Boyd.
"It's down to me and the boys that have been here for a wee while to show they are good enough to stay in the team.
"I want to get close to the tally I had last season and it's a pressure I like to have.
"It gives you an added incentive to get in the team and score goals.
"But I think all the lads will be looking forward to coming in, meeting the new manager and getting a fresh start."
