Mladenovic had an unsuccessful loan to Sociedad |
Dragan Mladenovic has rejoined Red Star Belgrade on a three-year deal after his Rangers contract was terminated. The 29-year-old Mladenovic agreed an Ibrox pay-off after featuring in eight games in a little over 12 months.
The midfielder joined Rangers from Red Star for 1.2m in July 2004 and was loaned to Spaniards Real Sociedad for the second half of last season.
"I was financially satisfied with the Rangers, but I want to play," said the Serbian international.
But his experience in Glasgow had left him angry with Rangers manager Alex McLeish.
On being released, he said: "I'm an experienced international player, but Rangers have treated me like a 19-year-old. That is what I don't like."
"I've read him saying that he's spoken with me but that was just not true," Mladenovic told the Daily Record. "He didn't speak to me at all.
"At a big club like Rangers, the manager should be able to communicate much better than McLeish does with his players."
