Queen of the South have signed Marvin Andrews until the end of the season following his release from Hamilton.

The 33-year-old former Rangers defender spent December on loan at Palmerston Park and made a good impression on manager Gordon Chisholm.

Andrews joined Accies in the summer after leaving Raith Rovers but made just two first-team appearances.

The defender, capped 103 times for Trinidad & Tobago, helped Rovers win the Division Two title last season.

It was his third spell at Stark's Park, having re-joined the club in January after leaving by mutual consent the previous summer.

Andrews had first joined the Kirkcaldy club in 1997 after departing Carib in his homeland and went on to have spells with Livingston and Rangers.

Meanwhile, Queens midfielder Steve Tosh has joined Livingston on loan until the summer with Joe Hamill going the other way.

Tosh has just returned to full training after recovering from a leg break he suffered in the Co-operative Insurance Cup tie against Rangers in September.
