Jim Lauchlan joined Ross County in 2003 |
Queen of the South have added experienced pair Jim Lauchlan and Scott McKenzie to their squad. The 29-year-old defender Lauchlan had been released by First Division rivals Ross County, while midfielder McKenzie, at 36, was no longer wanted by Falkirk.
McKenzie signed for the season, while Lauchlan is on a two-year contract and will also help with coaching.
Lauchlan said: "Ian McCall released me when he was at Dundee United, but all that's forgotten now."
The defender started his career at Kilmarnock before heading for Tannadice.
McKenzie started his career at Falkirk before heading for St Mirren, back to Falkirk then spending last season on loan to First Division Hamilton Academical.
Meanwhile, Queens manager McCall has re-signed goalkeeper Colin Scott after initially telling him he would be released and having since signed Barry John Corr from Stranraer.
