QPR have rejected two bids from Colchester for the teenager |
Colchester have had a second bid for QPR striker Ray Jones rejected. On Monday, the U's had a 200,000 bid for the 18-year-old, who signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at Loftus Road in January, turned down.
They returned on Tuesday with an improved six-figure offer - but still failed to meet Rangers' valuation.
Chairman Gianni Paladini told QPR's website: "We are not going to sell our best players unless the price is right and Ray has a part in our future."
Jones has made 39 appearances for QPR, scoring five goals.
The U's see him as a potential replacement for striker Chris Iwelumo, who recently joined Championship rivals Charlton.
