Waddock was a hugely popular player at QPR |
Gary Waddock has pledged to change QPR's style of play following his appointment as caretaker manager. The popular former Rs midfielder, in charge following the ousting of Ian Holloway, is keen for Rangers to revert back to a passing game.
Waddock said: "Everyone has their own ideas about how they want the game played and I have mine.
"I want us to pass the ball and I want plenty of movement. That's the kind of football I believe in."
Holloway faced some criticism for his style of play.
He was reluctant to select the likes of Richard Langley and Martin Rowlands in central midfield, often opting for two defensive-minded players in the middle.

Waddock has hinted that will change under his leadership.
But he explained: "It depends on certain factors.
"For example, we're playing Millwall on Saturday and they're a tough side. We might need something specific for that game.
"It might be that sometimes I play with two what you might call workmanlike midfielders and sometimes it might be one creative player and a worker.
"It's important to remember that we'll still need to work hard and stop the opposition playing. That itself is an art and in its own way that's being creative too.
"But whoever plays - whether you'd call them creative or workmanlike - they have to pass the ball. That's the bottom line."
