![]() | Tuesday, 15 January, 2002, 12:49 GMT QPR fans' cash gesture QPR supporters will this week get together to set up a ground-breaking transfer fund for manager Ian Holloway. Brothers Alex and Matt Winton of West London fashion label Ghost Menswear have already helped bring Danny Shittu, Doudou and Aziz Ben Askar to Loftus Road. They are now forming We Are QPR - a registered company aimed at raising money from the cash-strapped club's fans to spend on new players. Alex Winton said: "We're looking to raise 1m from QPR fans to go into a transfer fund for Ian. "We get average crowds of 11,500 and if all those people donate 100 we have enough to make a real impact. "Everyone wants to help and we're hoping that investment will grow into seven or 8m through success in the transfer market." | Other top QPR stories: Links to more QPR stories are at the foot of the page. | ||
