Shittu has been on loan at Loftus Road for the last two months and would have been out of contract with Charlton at the end of the current season. "I need to be playing first-team football and I'm getting that here. I'm really enjoying playing in front of thousands of supporters and I'm really learning a lot," said Shittu. The deal for the 21-year-old costs Rangers an initial 250,000, and could rise by another 100,000 dependent on appeances. Harold Winton and sons Matthew and Alex are to finance the deal for the 21-year-old central defender. The Wintons are part of the Maurice Fitzgerald consortium that have been trying to buy the club and take it out of administration. Fitzgerald confirmed: "We'll initially fund it.
