Preston North End chairman Maurice Lindsay tells Late Kick off that his side "paid the price for terminating the contract" of Sir Alex Ferguson's son.

The Lilywhites sacked Darren Ferguson in December and his dad immediately recalled loan players Joshua King and Ritchie de Laet to Old Trafford.

The duo were due to be available to Preston for their next two games but United exercised a clause allowing them an early recall.
