Preston manager Darren Ferguson is hopeful his side can begin to build enough momentum to make a concerted push for the Championship play-offs.
North End moved to within seven points of sixth place following Saturday's 3-0 win over Cardiff City.
"We've got eight weeks of real sacrifice with seven games at home," Ferguson told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"We've come through a really hard run of games and we're now going into a group of winnable ones."
Preston are currently 13th in the Championship having won a third of their league games this season.
But Ferguson is aware their play-off hopes now rest on building a winning run.
"We just need to get some consistency," he said.
"When I first came in we were in a position that I felt we could get to the play-offs.
"But sometimes you're better off just saying get as many wins as possible and see where it takes us."
