Preston North End sign Keith Treacy and Paul Coutts
Treacy was impressed with the attitude of Preston's manager
Preston have completed the deadline day signings of winger Keith Treacy and midfielder Paul Coutts.
Irishman Treacy, 21, arrives at Deepdale from Blackburn for an undisclosed fee and has signed a two-and-a-half year contract.
Coutts, also 21, joins North End from Championship rivals Peterborough, also for an undisclosed fee, on a three-and-a-half year deal.
Both deals were completed shortly before Monday's 1700 GMT deadline.
They follow Danny Welbeck to the club, who joined on loan last week from Manchester United and scored in the 2-0 win over Ipswich on Saturday.
Treacy, who started his career at Rovers and has had loan spells at Stockport County and Sheffield United, said: "I'm delighted to be here.
"I spoke to manager Darren Ferguson a couple of times over the phone and he is very ambitious."
Coutts previously played for Ferguson at Posh after joining the London Road outfit from Cove Rangers.
He said: "I really enjoyed by time under Darren at Peterborough so when I heard he was interested in me I was delighted and when it came off I was absolutely buzzing."
