Preston North End have completed the signing of Ross Wallace on a four-and-a-half year deal.

The left winger has been on loan from Sunderland since August, with an agreement for an undisclosed fee between the two clubs.

The 23-year-old told North End's official club website: "I was always hopeful of staying at Preston.

"The loan deal was until the end of the season, but we have managed to get a deal done."
