Brown's first-team outings at Norwich were limited

The Durham-born former Sunderland forward, who recently turned 23, has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Championship's bottom club.

Brown made 15 appearances last year after his early Norwich career was hampered by a hamstring injury.

He is Preston's second signing of the transfer window following the arrival of Richard Chaplow from West Brom.
