Preston have suffered a major blow with the news midfielder Paul McKenna is facing surgery on his groin problem and could be out until October. The 29-year-old has been sidelined since February with a hernia problem but McKenna is still struggling and is now set for more surgery.
Physiotherapist Steve Kemp told the club's website: "The timescale is three months from the day of surgery.
"So we're looking to around October time for Paul's comeback."
