| Preston have turned down a �50,000 bid from Crystal Palace for defender Graham Alexander, 34, after North End stated that he is not leaving Deepdale. Chairman Derek Shaw told the club website: "He is not for sale. "He is club captain and a vital member of this squad and certainly not a player we will allow to leave. "We are building a side to make that final push towards promotion and to lose a player of the quality and experience of Graham is not an option."
