Preston full-back Callum Davidson has been boosted by news that he may not need to undergo surgery on a problematic knee injury. The 30-year-old Scotland international visited a specialist where he was given the go ahead to step up his training.
Preston boss Paul Simpson told the club's website: "The specialist said that he has got to go and try and get on with it and resolve the problem.
"The surgeon has said it may heal itself or it may not," Simpson added.
